The Paxton 326-735 Compact Vandal Proof Proximity Reader is a durable and secure access control solution designed for single-door applications in vulnerable areas. Its cylindrical construction allows the electronics to be buried within a wall or door frame, ensuring resistance against tampering and vandalism.
About
The Paxton Compact range is a standalone single-door access control system with all electronics contained inside the reader housing. Multiple compact readers can be installed across a site, enabling the same tokens to be used seamlessly. The vandal-proof model is especially suited for doors exposed to potential damage, with a discreet end cap marker for token presentation. Black end caps are supplied as standard, with replacement coloured covers available free of charge for registered installers via the Paxton Portal.
Installation
- Simple wiring: two wires to the lock, two wires to the power supply
- Optional two-wire connection for exit button
- Designed to be buried into a wall or door frame for protection
- Not recommended for metal mounting, as it reduces read range
Operation
- Tokens are valid immediately upon installation
- Each user token is paired with a shadow card for easy management
- Lost or barred tokens can be invalidated instantly by presenting the corresponding shadow card
- Replacement tokens can be issued to users without disrupting the system
- Supports additional programming with the PROXIMITY function card pack, including zoning by token colour
