Description
The Paxton 568-855 Vandal Proof Proximity Reader is a discreet and durable access control solution designed for high-risk and vulnerable areas. Its barrel-like construction allows it to be buried within a wall or door frame, leaving only a discreet coloured cap visible as a marker for users.
Engineered for environments where malicious damage is a concern, the Paxton 568-855 offers robust vandal resistance and is IPX7 rated, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It comes supplied with a black marker cap, with replacement covers in various colours available free of charge to registered installers.
This reader supports Genuine HID Technology, enabling compatibility with HID 125kHz Proximity tokens (licensed via activation card). If required, it can also be configured for Wiegand output using a separate activation card.
Designed for easy installation, the unit fits into a 20mm diameter hole in the wall or door frame and connects directly to Switch2 or Net2 systems. Once installed, users simply present a valid token near the cap, and access permissions are securely verified.
