Installation – The Net2 Plus controller is designed for straightforward installation with colour-coded connection labels for readers, locks, power supply, and auxiliary devices. It supports exit buttons, door contacts, tamper switches, and alarm integrations. Communication with the PC is via TCP/IP using a fixed/static IP address, configured through the Net2 Configuration Utility. Diagnostic LEDs simplify setup, while built-in end-of-line resistor options eliminate the need for external components. Power is delivered through PoE+, reducing cabling complexity.
Operation – Once installed, the controller responds instantly to updates from the central PC. User tokens are read at the access point, and the controller independently validates permissions, granting or denying entry accordingly.
