Description
The Paxton10 010-403 Single-Door Controller (PCB only) is a powerful and reliable access control solution designed to manage a single entry point with flexible connectivity options. Built with distributed intelligence architecture, it eliminates any single point of failure, ensuring robust and dependable system performance.
About
Paxton10 door controllers are the foundation of the Paxton10 system, with each unit controlling one door and supporting up to three Paxton10 Wireless Connectors for enhanced functionality. A single Paxton10 system can include up to 1000 door controllers, offering exceptional scalability.
The controller is a TCP/IP-enabled network device, making integration into existing infrastructures simple and efficient. Equipped with 4 inputs (tamper, 230V fail, door contact, and RTE), it also supports intruder alarm integration via the Paxton10 Alarm Connector.
The PoE+ capability allows both the controller and connected door lock to be powered via a single cable, reducing the need for separate mains connections. Backup battery options are also available for added security in case of power failure.
Installation
The Paxton10 010-403 controller is designed for quick and efficient setup. Its colour-coded wiring label provides clear guidance for connecting readers, power supplies, and door locks. The built-in 12V output can control doors, barriers, or gates with ease.
Diagnostic LEDs give real-time feedback on controller status, inputs, and outputs. Controllers connect directly to the network using TCP/IP and are automatically detected within the Paxton10 software under the devices menu, streamlining configuration.
Operation
Once installed, any updates or configuration changes made in the Paxton10 software are instantly communicated to the controller. When a user presents their token to the reader, the unit validates the credential and grants or denies access accordingly.
