Who we are
ADCB Ltd trading as Digiteck is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our website is https://digiteck.net. Contact us at sales@digiteck.net, by telephone on 0116 296 3858, or at 14 Lunsford Road, Leicester, LE5 0HJ, United Kingdom.
Information we collect
When you place an order, create an account or contact us, we collect the information needed to respond and provide our services. This can include your name, company, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order contents, payment status, transaction references, account information and correspondence about a product or project. Please avoid including unnecessary personal information in project files or order notes.
Our website and service providers also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, security logs, basket and session identifiers, and cookie preferences. Information may come directly from you, from someone ordering on your behalf, or from payment and delivery providers updating us about an order. Public reviews may display the name and content you choose to submit.
Why we use your information
Orders, quotations and account services: we use contact, address and order information to take steps you request before a purchase, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, manage payments, provide support and handle returns. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps before entering one. Where you act for a business rather than contract personally, we rely on our legitimate interests in handling that business relationship.
Records and legal obligations: we retain relevant transaction and accounting information to meet tax, accounting and other applicable legal requirements. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
Security and service administration: we use necessary technical and transaction information to protect the website, prevent fraud, investigate problems and manage complaints or legal claims. We rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure, reliable business and protecting customers, taking account of your rights.
Optional communications and cookies: where we ask for consent, we use your information only for the choice you make. The optional checkout review-invitation checkbox is separate from placing an order. You can withdraw consent by contacting us or using the relevant unsubscribe or cookie controls. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Required checkout fields are needed to process and fulfil your order. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to accept the order. Fields marked optional are not required to purchase. You can check out without creating an account.
Payments and service providers
Payments are handled through the payment service you select. Our checkout offers WooPayments/Stripe card and wallet payments, PayPal payment facilities where available, and direct bank transfer. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy information and may carry out fraud checks. Digiteck receives order and payment confirmations, references and relevant limited payment information; this notice does not replace the provider’s own privacy notice.
We share information needed to operate the shop with hosting and website service providers, delivery or fulfilment providers, payment providers, professional advisers and authorities where legally required. IONOS hosts the website. WordPress/WooCommerce and associated services support the shop. If you choose to receive a review invitation, CusRev, an independent review service, processes the information needed for that invitation. Providers may act on our instructions or as independent controllers for activities such as their own payment, fraud-prevention and legal obligations.
Cookies and website services
See our Cookie Policy (UK) for cookie categories, listed services and controls. Necessary cookies support functions such as the basket, account login and payment processing. Use the website’s consent controls to manage optional cookies.
International processing
Some payment and website services involve international processing. Stripe describes transfers including to the United States and India, and the safeguards it uses, in its Privacy Policy. These include adequacy arrangements and standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, where applicable. Automattic describes processing outside the UK and EEA and approved contractual safeguards in its Privacy Policy. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your order or enquiry.
How long we keep information
Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose. For orders, invoices and refunds, relevant criteria include tax and accounting obligations, warranty and return periods, and the time needed to handle disputes or legal claims. For enquiries and support correspondence, relevant criteria include whether the enquiry is resolved and whether the information is still needed for the customer relationship. Security logs and backups have separate operational purposes. Contact us to ask about the retention of a particular record or to request erasure; information needed to meet legal obligations or resolve claims may need to be retained.
The shop is configured to delete inactive customer accounts after 12 months and move pending and failed orders to the bin after one day. Binning does not immediately erase the information. Completed, refunded and cancelled orders currently have no automatic deletion period configured. Deleting an account does not necessarily delete transaction records needed for the purposes above.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, or transfer of information you supplied in a portable format. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, including information we must retain by law.
Send requests to sales@digiteck.net. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. Please contact us if you would like us to investigate a concern.
Security and changes
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect misuse. We will update this notice when our processing changes and provide further information where required.
