Description

The Notifier SIB-2048A Serial Interface Board is a high-performance communication module engineered for Notifier fire alarm control systems. It provides robust serial communication interfaces for seamless integration with annunciators, printers, terminals, and other EDP-listed devices.

Equipped with dual EIA-232 terminal ports (2400 baud, ASCII format), this module supports direct connections to CRT monitors, system terminals, and compatible display equipment. An additional dual EIA-232 printer interface is available for linking to PRN printers, VGAS terminals, and other approved logging devices.

For annunciation and networking, the EIA-485 port (20 K baud, ASCII) ensures dependable data transmission to ASC annunciators, AMG audio systems, and Notifier Network Interface Boards. Each serial interface is optically isolated, reducing the risk of ground fault issues and ensuring stable operation in electrically noisy environments.

Designed for easy installation, the SIB-2048A includes plug-in terminal blocks to simplify wiring and servicing, making it an ideal solution for expanding or upgrading system communication in large-scale fire alarm installations.
