Description

The Paxton 477-222 Proximity Handsfree Interface is designed to convert new or existing Paxton P series readers and KP keypads into hands-free access control solutions. Using Paxton’s unique wireless technology, this interface enables hands-free tokens to be read even when carried in a pocket, bag, or handbag.

Once installed, hands-free tokens offer an extended read range of 0.85m to 2.5m, ensuring smooth and convenient entry. Standard tokens continue to work as normal, giving full compatibility across systems.

For added security, an optional entry confirmation button can be installed to prevent doors from unlocking automatically until pressed. The interface requires no separate power source and should be mounted as close as possible to the reader (up to a maximum distance of 15m).

Compact and practical in a durable plastic housing, this interface delivers a simple upgrade path to hands-free access without the need for major hardware changes.
