Description
The Paxton Net2 Plus 682-284 1 Door Controller with PoE+ and Plastic Cabinet is a powerful and flexible access control solution for secure, scalable systems. Designed for easy integration, it connects directly into a TCP/IP network using a standard RJ45 plug and comes with a built-in TCP/IP converter. With PoE+ capability, both power and data can be delivered via a single Ethernet cable, reducing installation complexity.
About – Net2 is a fully networked access control system, offering centralised management, real-time event reporting, and flexible access control. Each controller can operate independently, ensuring local decision-making and event storage even if network connectivity is interrupted.
Installation – The unit features clear, colour-coded connection labels for easy wiring to readers, locks, exit buttons, and alarms. With a voltage-free relay, it supports switching any compatible electrical device. Diagnostic LEDs assist with setup, and the Net2 Configuration Utility makes IP assignment and system configuration straightforward. The control unit should be assigned a fixed/static IP for reliable operation.
Operation – Once installed, system updates made at the central PC are instantly communicated to the controller. When a user presents a token, the unit authenticates access and makes immediate permit or deny decisions. This ensures seamless, real-time operation while maintaining independent functionality if network interruptions occur.
Available in PCB, plastic cabinet, or metal cabinet variations (with or without power supply), the Paxton Net2 Plus is ideal for both new installations and system upgrades.
