Description
The Paxton10 010-052 Single-Door Controller (PoE+) is a versatile and intelligent access control solution designed to manage a single door while providing additional I/O for system integration. As part of the Paxton10 ecosystem, it enables scalable installations of up to 1000 controllers, ensuring robust and reliable access management.
Built with distributed intelligence architecture, this controller removes the risk of a central point of failure. It features a dedicated port to cascade up to three Paxton10 Wireless Connectors, allowing seamless expansion with PaxLock Pro units. Two reader inputs enable read-in/read-out functionality for secure bidirectional control.
The PoE+ variant includes a built-in splitter, supplying both the controller and door lock via PoE+, eliminating the need for a local 230v supply at the door. Generation 1 controllers also support an optional backup battery, while Generation 2 does not. An intruder alarm can also be integrated using the Paxton10 Alarm Connector.
Installation – The Paxton10 controller is supplied with a wiring label showing clear, colour-coded connections for readers, power supply, and lock. The 12V output supports locks, barriers, or gates. Diagnostic LEDs provide instant feedback on controller, input, and output status. The unit connects directly to the network via TCP/IP and is automatically visible in the Paxton10 software for configuration.
Operation – All changes made in the Paxton10 software are communicated immediately to the controller. When a token is presented to the reader, the controller identifies the user and grants or denies access based on permissions. Real-time updates ensure accurate and responsive system control.
