About – The Paxton10 Video Controller (Sales Code: 010-907) combines video management and access control in a single intelligent unit. It provides processing for up to four third-party IP cameras while delivering all the advanced functionality of the Paxton10 Door Controller. Designed with distributed intelligence architecture, the system eliminates a central point of failure, ensuring reliable and scalable operation. The controller supports storage via a Network Attached Storage (NAS) system and integrates seamlessly into existing TCP/IP networks. A mains-powered variant is also available.
Installation – The Paxton10 Video Controller is designed for straightforward installation. Colour-coded wiring labels clearly indicate connections for readers, locks, and power supply. A 12V output is available to control doors, barriers, or gates, while diagnostic LEDs provide real-time status updates for inputs and outputs. The unit connects directly to the network via TCP/IP and is automatically detected within the Paxton10 software under the devices menu, simplifying setup and configuration.
Operation – Once installed, the Paxton10 Video Controller ensures smooth operation with automatic communication of changes made in the Paxton10 software. When a user presents their token at the reader, the controller validates access instantly. Video processing and storage are handled locally, ensuring secure and efficient monitoring. The controller also supports cascading with up to three Paxton10 Wireless Connectors for expanded functionality.
