The Silent Knight SD500-SDM 2-Wire Smoke Module is a smart and reliable solution for integrating conventional 2-wire smoke detectors into an addressable fire alarm system. By assigning a unique address to a loop of conventional devices—such as 2-wire smoke detectors, pull stations, or heat sensors—the SD500-SDM brings modern addressable capabilities to legacy components. The module connects to the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) with just two wires and uses 24V DC auxiliary power to drive the conventional loop. Flexible configuration options support both Class A and Class B wiring, giving installers the adaptability they need for virtually any application.
