Description
The Silent Knight SD500-MIM Mini Input Module provides reliable, supervised monitoring of a single dry-contact initiating device circuit (IDC) in intelligent two-wire fire alarm systems. Engineered for tight spaces, the SD500-MIM fits within a standard single-gang box, making it ideal for retrofit or new-construction applications using pull stations, waterflow switches, or other normally-open contact devices.
Each module is assigned a unique address on the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) via onboard DIP switches, enabling precise location identification on IntelliKnight fire alarm control panels. The SD500-MIM continuously supervises the IDC using an end-of-line (EOL) resistor, alerting the panel to both alarm contact closures and open-circuit wiring faults.
