The Silent Knight SD505-AHS Addressable Heat Detector is engineered for high-reliability temperature-based fire detection in commercial environments. Unlike standard smoke detectors, this heat sensor responds to an absolute temperature threshold—making it ideal for areas where smoke detection may be compromised by steam, cooking fumes, or dust, such as commercial kitchens, laundry rooms, and mechanical spaces.

Part of the IntelliKnight series, the SD505-AHS provides precise temperature data to the control panel and triggers an alarm when its programmed temperature trip point is exceeded. Its intelligent addressable design allows the Silent Knight fire alarm panel to instantly identify the exact location of the triggered sensor, saving crucial time during emergency response.

The unit features a low-profile 2-inch design (including base), a rugged thermistor protected by a specially designed airflow cover, and simple addressing via Silent Knight’s digital protocol. Compatible with the SD505-6AB base, this heat detector is easy to install and highly flexible across multiple building types.
