The Simplex 2190-9155 Zone Addressable Module (ZAM) is designed to seamlessly integrate conventional initiating device circuits (IDCs) into addressable fire alarm control panels. This module enables status monitoring and supervision of legacy devices such as non-addressable smoke detectors, manual pull stations, waterflow switches, and tamper switches, making it ideal for retrofits and hybrid fire detection systems.

Compatible with both Class A (Style D) and Class B (Style B) wiring configurations, the 2190-9155 supports various initiating devices and ensures reliable signal communication to the host FACP. It requires a separate 24 VDC power input from a listed fire alarm power source, ensuring secure operation in all conditions.

Simplex also offers other ZAM variants for specific applications:

• Monitor ZAMs for two-wire and four-wire IDC supervision
• Signal ZAMs for powering notification appliances (up to 2A @ 24VDC), speakers (up to 50W), or firefighter telephones (up to 3 simultaneous)
• Control ZAMs for managing HVAC, elevator recall, and fan/damper controls using DPDT relay contacts
