C-TEC CA416 CAST Optical Smoke Detector
The C-TEC CA416 CAST Optical Smoke Detector is a high-quality addressable smoke detector designed for use with C-TEC XFP and ZFP ‘CAST’ protocol addressable fire alarm panels. Engineered to provide reliable and accurate smoke detection, the CA416 utilises advanced optical sensing technology combined with intelligent algorithms to minimise false alarms while maintaining rapid response to genuine fire conditions.
The detector is LPCB certified to EN54-7 and EN54-17 and Kiwa Telefication & DBI certified to EN54-13, with additional certification from the Swedish certification body SBSC. These approvals ensure the detector meets strict international fire safety and performance standards.
The CA416 features an onboard short-circuit loop isolator to enhance system reliability by protecting the addressable loop from wiring faults. Two ultra-bright red LED indicator strips provide 360° visual indication, allowing easy identification of detector status from any angle.
With a sensitivity level of 0.16dB/m obscuration and built-in drift compensation, the detector automatically adjusts to environmental conditions such as dust accumulation, helping to maintain consistent performance and reduce unwanted alarms. A programmable multi-function status LED provides flexible indication options for installers and system engineers.
The CA416 is designed for use with the C-TEC CA408 CAST detector base, which includes an integrated locking mechanism and identification tag to simplify installation and maintenance.
