Description

The Notifier DIA-2020 Display Interface Assembly is an essential operator interface designed specifically for use with the Notifier AFP-2020 Fire Alarm Control Panel. This advanced module integrates user interaction, status display, and programming capabilities into a single interface to streamline system control and diagnostics.

The DIA-2020 includes a hinged door, a 30-key alphanumeric keypad, and a backlit 80-character LCD display. The keypad provides dedicated keys for system control functions such as Acknowledge, Signal Silence, Reset, and Lamp Test, as well as full numeric and alphabetic data entry. It also features status LEDs for Fire Alarm, Trouble, Display Trouble, AC Power, and Signals Silenced.

The LCD displays critical system information across two lines of 40 characters, showing event type, device type, point and zone labels, time/date, and point number. The integrated Display Interface Board (DIB) includes nonvolatile memory for storing all custom labels and passwords, and supports full on-panel programming through menu-driven navigation.

The DIA-2020 also includes serial communication ports:

• EIA-232 interface for printer connection

• EIA-485 interface for up to 32 daisy-chained LCD-80 remote annunciators, each up to 6,000 ft apart

All programming and status review functions can be performed without interrupting active alarm monitoring, making this unit a critical addition for safe and efficient fire alarm system management.
