Description
The NOTIFIER IZM-8 Fire Alarm Initiating Zone Expander Module is designed to add eight supervised Class B (Style B) initiating circuits to compatible NOTIFIER fire alarm control panels. Each zone supports either alarm or supervisory inputs and is power-limited for safe operation with limited energy cabling.
Ideal for expanding system input capabilities, the IZM-8 features a powered loop design, allowing the integration of two-wire smoke detectors. Its built-in red and yellow LEDs provide clear, individual annunciation for alarms and troubles, including circuit faults, zone disablement, or communication errors. Flashing LEDs indicate unacknowledged events, while steady illumination confirms acknowledged or silenced conditions.
Each of the eight circuits includes a local switch for enabling or disabling the zone, accessing module programming, and displaying programmed settings. When combined with the IZE-A Expander Module, the IZM-8 supports eight Style D (Class A) circuits for enhanced system flexibility and survivability.
