The Notifier XPIQ Quad Intelligent Audio Transponder is a powerful, integrated solution for distributed multichannel voice evacuation systems. Designed for seamless operation with Notifier’s ONYX Series (excluding NFS-320), the XPIQ enables simultaneous playback of up to four voice messages, providing advanced control and flexible evacuation messaging for complex fire alarm installations.

Controlled via the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) from the fire alarm control panel (FACP), the XPIQ receives four low-level audio signals through the optional XPIQ-AIB4 board and distributes them to four high-performance audio amplifiers. These signals are then delivered to continuously supervised speaker circuits, ensuring high reliability and compliance with life safety standards.

The unit features four Class B speaker circuits (or Class A with optional XPIQ-CA), background music capability, dual tone generators, and robust backup configurations supporting 1-to-1 to 4-to-1 amplifier redundancy. The optional RM-1(SA) remote microphone and XPIQ-RMI module allow for all-call local paging, while advanced diagnostics monitor amplifier status, speaker circuits, AC power, battery, charger, and more.

With pluggable terminal blocks, non-volatile memory, ground fault detection, and PC-based programming, the XPIQ offers flexible installation and easy system upgrades—making it ideal for large-scale buildings, campuses, and high-occupancy environments requiring dependable and intelligible emergency voice communication.
